CES Munich Lectures in Economics

Every year since 1994, the Scientific Advisory Council of the Center for Economic Studies nominates the "Distinguished CES Fellow". This award is one of the most prestigious in the field of international economics. Some of those honored in Munich for their outstanding work were later awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics.

The prizewinner delivers the „Munich Lecture“ in the LMU's Great Hall in November. During the two following days, a top-class international workshop takes place at the ifo Institute, which is jointly prepared by the Fellow and an economics faculty member.

The Munich Lectures are organized by CES in cooperation with ifo and CESifo, supported by a Munich Re sponsorship.
