CES Visiting Program
Throughout the year, CES hosts renowned economists from universities across the world.
The main purpose of the CES visiting program is to initiate and foster collaboration and joint projects of visiting researchers and faculty members, and in particular to promote young talent.
Each invitation to the CES guest program is initiated by a member of the faculty. Admission to the program is decided by the CES Program Directorate at one of its meetings, which take place three times a year during the semester. After approval, the official invitation is sent and the visit can be planned.
CES grants a subsidy for travel and accommodation costs according to travel route and duration of stay. Guests with family visiting longer than a month may use one of the two CES apartments at the International Meeting Center for Science (IBZ), upon availability.
Guests usually stay for between two and eight weeks. Their office will be at CES in the heart of downtown Munich, near the English Garden. During their visit, guests can pursue their research interests and attend or deliver seminars at CES, the faculty and the ifo Institute.
All research seminars are listed on the faculty website: https://www.econ.lmu.de/en/research/research-seminars/. A weekly overview of seminars, workshops, events, and guests can be found in the ECONM newsletter: https://www.econ.lmu.de/en/research/newsletter/.
