CES Visiting Program

Throughout the year, CES hosts accomplished economists from universities across the world.

The main purpose of the CES visiting program is to initiate and foster collaboration and joint projects of visiting researchers and faculty members, especially junior faculty.

CES is located in the heart of downtown Munich, near the English Garden. Depending on the duration of your stay as CES guest you are either accommodated in one of our two guest apartments in the International Meeting Center for Science (IBZ) or in a hotel. During the visit, each guest can use an office at CES. Travel expenses are also reimbursed.

Guests usually stay at CES for between two and eight weeks. During this time, they can pursue their research interests and attend or deliver seminars at CES, the faculty and the ifo Institute.

Each invitation to the CES guest program is initiated by a member of the faculty. Admission to the program is decided by the CES Program Directorate at one of its meetings, which take place three times a year during the semester. After approval, the official invitation is sent and the visit can be planned.
