CES Munich Lectures in Economics Workshop 2022
Imagining a 'New Normal' for the Workplace
This workshop brings together a diverse set of international scholars to discuss the “new normal” in the workplace, with a particular focus on its impact on women. How will the post-COVID labor market differ from the pre-COVID labor market? How will pre-existing government policies and institutions, such as the care sector and the UI system, affect these developments? The intention of the workshop is to discuss where people work, the relationship between work and family, the reduction in the cost of flexibility, especially with respect to asymmetries across sectors, firms, and the gender dimension. A particular focus will be devoted to new sources of data in this field.
