While visiting CES, Christoph Boehm will be working on several projects. These include projects on 1) the identification of monetary policy shocks and their impacts on the economy, 2) the estimation of households’ expenditure responses to transitory income shocks, 3) how to estimate the effects of exchange rate changes on macroeconomic outcomes, 4) the measurement and impact of news shocks on financial markets and the macroeconomy, as well as 5) a project on the macroeconometric identification of labor market shocks.
Mr. Boehm’s research focuses on a number of topics in macro and international economics, including the impact of fiscal and monetary policy, the effects of tariffs on trade, and the transmission of shocks across countries. Some of his recent works are “Monetary Policy without Moving Interest Rates: The Fed Non-Yield Shock”, “Dynamic Models, New Gains from Trade?”, “The US, Economic News, and the Global Financial Cycle”, “The Long and the Short (Run) of Trade Elasticities”, and “Convex Supply Curves”.
